Dear SAND Community,

A  lot is happening in our world as the pandemic spreads across our lives on a planetary scale. As we are cocooning in our homes, we would like to invite you to join us for a community get-together every Saturday at 10 AM PDT, where we can connect, reflect, meditate, nourish one another with our presence and create a field of resilience and mutual support. Each week we will have a different guest teacher who will bring their perspective and wisdom on the situation and help us connect and ground as a community. Let's remember that every crisis holds the seeds of birthing of new perspectives and new ways of being.

This coming Saturday we are delighted to have as guest teachers Charles Eisenstein and Bayo Akomolafe. They will share wisdom for these times and we will have time for a conversation with them. Charles shares in his recent brilliant article "The Coronation" reflecting on the current crisis:

"Against the backdrop of the program of control, death denial, and the separate self, the assumption that public policy should seek to minimize the number of deaths is nearly beyond question, a goal to which other values like play, freedom, etc. are subordinate. Covid-19 offers occasion to broaden that view. Yes, let us hold life sacred, more sacred than ever. Death teaches us that. Let us hold each person, young or old, sick or well, as the sacred, precious, beloved being that they are. And in the circle of our hearts, let us make room for other sacred values too. To hold life sacred is not just to live long, it is to live well and right and fully."

This meeting will be open to one thousand participants and will be recorded for later viewing.
