Riccardo Manzotti Speaker

Riccardo Manzotti is a professor of theoretical at IULM University, Milan (Italy). He got a PhD in Robotics and degrees in Philosophy of Mind and Computer Science. He has been Fulbright Visiting Scholar at MIT (USA). He has been teaching AI and philosophy of mind in many international universities (Emirates, South Korea, Irland). He has specialized in robotics, AI, artificial vision, perception and, most of all, consciousness.
He is now defending and developing a theory of the mind called The Spread Mind theory ( which suggests an identity between one’s consciousness and the external world. As mentioned in the title of his book (“The Spread Mind”, OR Books, 2018), mind and world are one and the same. His recent work is available at
