The Cerebrospinal Fluid and I AM

The Cerebrospinal Fluid and I AM

With Mauro Zappaterra, MD PhD  •  Apr 28–May 12, 2018

A 3-part Webinar Series Recorded March-April, 2018

The webinar will describe the most current and up-to-date research on the cerebrospinal fluid. The cerebrospinal fluid is a fluid that bathes our entire central nervous system, from the inside and outside, traveling all the way down around your spinal cord to your sacrum as well as within a central hollow canal inside your spinal cord. At the center of your brain, at the same location of your third eye, your brow center, there is a cavity filled with the cerebrospinal fluid called the third ventricle. It is bordered by the pituitary gland in front and the pineal gland in back, and has been referred to as the ‘Crystal Palace’ and the ‘Cave of Brahma.’ We will discuss some of the basic fundamental properties and functions of this fluid.

The CSF is home to many neurotransmitters and signaling molecules providing an elaborate range of biological functions. Interestingly, the CSF contains the ‘spirit molecule’ DMT that is released by the pineal gland. Furthermore, the cells contacting the CSF can receive information related to light, vibrations, movement, and molecules. The CSF utilizes volume transmission and its information can be quickly dispersed and simultaneously target key brain regulatory centers due to its fluid nature. Nisargadatta Maharaj said, “fluids come together and the ‘I Am’ appears.” The CSF may therefore serve as a vehicle for immediate signaling to major control centers of the brain and may be significant in regulating consciousness, the flow of spirit, the sense of ‘I Am’. Let us connect with our CSF, connect with the “I Am”, visit the ‘Cave of Brahma’, and explore our internal ocean.

Let us go on a voyage of the ventricles and bath in the liquid light of the cerebrospinal fluid. Come on this journey of wonder and sense your beingness.

Below is an interview of Mauro Zappaterra (this is NOT the webinar)

Mauro Zappaterra obtained his MD and PhD degrees from Harvard Medical School. He completed his PhD doing work with neuronal stem cells and the effects of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in brain development and in the adult. He is published in numerous scientific articles on the CSF and his work was chosen as the cover image for the prestigious Neuron Journal. He was also featured in the New England Journal of Medicine in teaching medical students about living with life threatening diseases and in Psychology Today on an article titled “Joy: The art of loving life.” He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, where he also served as Chief Resident. He is board certified in PM&R with a particular focus on optimizing human performance and decreasing suffering. He is the Director of Regenerative Medicine and Clinical Research at Synovation Medical Group and is a staff physician at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. As a PM&R physician he combines his training in various complementary medicine modalities such as Polarity Therapy, Reiki and Craniosacral Therapy and attempts to treat each individual wholistically, integrating body, mind and spirit. Much of his practice is focused on pain management. He researches and designs new programs and techniques to help alleviate pain, improve function, and increase quality of life.

Part 1: Embryology and the fluids that bathe you

Apr 29, 2018 PDT

Week 1 will investigate our embryology. What better way to determine who we are than to understand how we were created. We will look at some of the most basic and primitive cellular movements that occur to us as embryos as we are cellular organisms being molded into the human beings that we are today. It will investigate the various fluids that you, as an embryo, are bathed in, and created with.

Part 2: The Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF)

May 6, 2018 PDT

Week 2 will investigate the most current and up-to-date research on the cerebrospinal fluid. Mauro Zappaterra, MD PhD

Mauro Zappaterra obtained his MD and PhD from Harvard Medical School. He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with a focus on optimizing human performance, increasing awareness and decreasing suffering. He has been practicing mindfulness since 1998, and teaching mindfulness to patients with chronic pain since 2018, as he is the Director of Multidisciplinary Care at Synovation Medical Group.  He has led the Awakening Awareness Program for the Emerging Sciences Foundation which can be found on YouTube.  He has published numerous scientific papers and medical book chapters on the cerebrospinal fluid, disability, and pain management. He has also published "I Am", "All One", and "All Love" which are three books exploring topics of awareness, primarily for kids, but really for people of all ages.  He has also published "Close Your Eyes, What Do You See?" with his son, which is a story about imagination and intention.  He continues to create programs to help patients with chronic pain and investigate the cerebrospinal fluid and integrate new research to evolve the hypothesis of The Cerebrospinal fluid and I Am.
