Mirka Kraftsow, E-RYT-500, C-IAYT is a Viniyoga teacher and certified yoga therapist. She has trained hundreds of yoga teachers around the world. Now based in Sebastopol, California, she teaches yoga, provides yoga therapy, and leads retreats, seminars, and workshops in the US and Europe, including semi-annual yoga pilgrimages to Assisi, Italy. Her teaching balances experience with intuition, tradition with creative innovation.

Mirka Kraftsow has studied with some of the great yoga masters of our time, including Sri Krishnamacharya, TKV Desikachar and Gary Kraftsow, with whom she co-founded the American Viniyoga Institute. Born and raised in Italy, Mirka experienced a very deep initiation into Roman Catholicism. Inspired by the Benedictine teacher of Centering Prayer, Fr. Thomas Keating, and the Franciscan author and teacher, Fr. Richard Rohr. Mirka now weaves her Catholic, Indian and Tibetan mystical training and experience into a seamless teaching.
