No, you will only need to sign up and login to the website. Once accepted, presenters will need to register and pay for the conference, at a discounted rate.
A committee gathers to look through all the abstracts and select the speakers for the available 20 or 25‑minute concurrent slots. Once all the slots are filled, many of the remaining abstract candidates will be offered participation in the Friday evening poster session, where they can present their material in a more informal setting.
A poster session, which is part of the SAND US Conference, is an opportunity to communicate your ideas to others in a relaxed setting, rather like a trade fair. For more information, click here.
If your talk has been accepted and you have registered at the discounted rate, the registration fee is non-refundable after June 15 for SAND Italy, September 1 for SAND US. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $100 cancellation fee.
