Apply to Present at SAND US

We invite you to contribute to the emergent field of collective wisdom which we have the privilege and blessing to share when we come together. In addition to the main keynote speaking spots and the group experiential spaces, we have reserved slots for presentations, experiential sessions and conversations to come forth from the community.

The theme of this year's event is Living and Dying. We invite proposals that address any related question, such as:

  • What do the different spiritual traditions teach about living and dying?
  • What can death and impermanence show us about living?
  • How to share the sacred work of grief and loss?
  • How can we care for those who are dying?
  • How can psychedelics prepare us for death?
  • Which greater cosmological, planetary, evolutionary cycles are we part of?
  • How are stars and galaxies born, how do they die?
  • How do we live when the planet's future is uncertain?
  • What does biology say about the cycles of life and death?
  • What is the science on near death experiences?
  • What does the investigation of "past lives" memories teach us?

We also encourage presentations that help us deconstruct systems of identities, beliefs, and worldviews that create division in our communities.

We have different formats for presenting: 25-min speaking slots, 1-hour experiential sessions, an evening poster session or 1-hour community conversations (apply on a separate form). Please note that if you apply for an oral presentation and all slots are filled, you may be offered a poster session instead.

The deadline for proposal submissions has been extended to May 15.
Applicants will be informed of the results early June.
