HIGHER STATES: Harnessing the Power of Consciousness to Fulfill Your Desires and Change the WorldA Scientific Breakthrough
Renowned quantum physicist, educator, and brain researcher John Hagelin presents the landmark discovery of higher states of consciousness—beyond waking, dreaming and sleeping—that display expanded mental capabilities and enhanced power to fulfill one’s desires.
This scientific discovery of higher states of consciousness—and their universal accessibility through specific meditative practices—radically changes our understanding of the limits of human potential and has far-reaching implications for the transformation of society.
Dr. Hagelin unites cutting-edge discoveries in quantum physics and neuroscience to forge a new understanding of consciousness and the physical universe—mind and matter—revealing a profound connection between our inner and outer realities. This emerging paradigm provides a “theory of everything” in which the individual is truly cosmic.
Dr. Hagelin received his Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University and conducted pioneering research at CERN (the European Center for Particle Physics) and SLAC (the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center). He is responsible for the development of a highly successful Grand Unified Field Theory that was featured on the cover of Discover Magazine. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Dr. Hagelin was named winner of the prestigious Kilby Award, which recognizes scientists who have made “major contributions to society through their applied research in the fields of science and technology.” The award recognized Dr. Hagelin as “a scientist in the tradition of Einstein, Jeans, Bohr and Eddington.”
As President of the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace, Dr. Hagelin has brought the Transcendental Meditation technique to hundreds of thousands of students and into the curriculum of over 350 public schools. Dr. Hagelin will report on the transformative effects of this meditation practice on education—including research showing increased intelligence and academic achievement and decreased anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
He will also report on the scientifically verified, powerful effects of group meditation practice on reducing crime, social violence, war, and terrorism and promoting societal peace—outcomes now confirmed by over 50 scientific studies.
Throughout time, the wise have extolled the power of thought: “With a mustard seed of faith, you can move mountains.” Now science has revealed that the power of your thought is intimately connected to your state of consciousness. Join Dr. Hagelin for a fascinating exploration of the vast range of human potential—an all-encompassing perspective of humanity that is both visionary and practical.
